Dear Reader,
We are pleased to showcase the insight of Patricia Lightner this month. Her experiences with stairs, freezing cold winter days, and her high-maintenance cat, coupled with her frank and honest feelings about living with Parkinson's will touch your emotions and reflect some of your realities. Her writing is just a sample of the contribution she has made to the Parkinson's community. She is actually a woman of action more than a woman of words. She has worked for years educating the public about Parkinson's disease, and lobbying lawmakers at the national and local levels to ensure funding for Parkinson's-related research.
After contemplaing Patricia Lightner's article, we hope some data from studies on quality of life and health with Parkinson's disease will benefit you. Our goal is to help you live better with Parkinson's disease. We hope your days are improved.
Sincerely,
Matt Nilsen
