This weight gain may not seem like much until you consider that most people with Parkinson's tend to lose weight, sometimes at a moderate pace. Also, keep in mind that not everyone gained weight. Four participants even lost it. Nevertheless, on average, the group gained weight.
The participants also experienced improved motor function, some increased dyskinesias, and improved mood. That's no big surprise considering what we already know about pramipexole.
