My Parkinson's Info spoke at the National Parkinson Foundation, Laura Calzolari. "The idea was to present a mini conference that concentrated on the latest treatments," said Calzolari. She went on to say, "We began talking about the power of webcasting to reach many, many people."
Some of the highlights of the conference include:
- A presentation by Matthew Stern, MD from the University of Pennsylvania, "Diagnosis and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease."
- A presentation by Mark Stacy, MD from Duke University, "Patient/Physician Communications in the Management of Parkinson's Disease."
- An "Ask the Experts Panel" - Drs. Stern and Stacy will be joined by a nurse and two voice therapists specializing in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. This team will answer questions about Parkinson's disease.
