Today, there are many worthy causes to support, with one of the major causes being Parkinson's disease. This disease of the brain affects millions of Americans as well as countless others across the globe. Because of this, there are all sorts of wonderful events that you can go out and attend to show your support and help find a cure.
Many of these awesome events are scheduled for the New Year in 2006. If you are going to be in the Houston area, you can stop by to support the Houston Area Parkinson Society during the 2006 Chevron Houston Marathon. The excitement is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 15th beginning at 1:00 pm. This is the largest single-day sporting event to take place in Houston with a marathon, half marathon, and 5K. You can get more information or find out how to register by visiting the Houston Are Parkinson Society Website at
www.hapsonline.org. Get out there and show your support to raise funds for Parkinson's research.
