Simpson was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson's disease at the age of 40.
Taryn Simpson earned a degree in music performance and performed with various orchestras until she re-discovered her passion for writing. Simpson has worked in human resources for more than 15 years and recently escaped corporate America to become a full-time writer.
In addition to offering writing services to clients, she also writes her own books. Her latest novel, The Mango Tree Cafe, Loi Kroh Road has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Simpson communicated with her co-author in Beijing, China, strictly by e-mail and instant messaging. To this day, have never met or talked on the phone.
In her free time, Simpson enjoys playing poker, writing, reading, playing pool, and traveling to exotic islands.
